Move Better

Live Stronger

We believe everyone deserves to move with confidence and live without pain.

About Me

I’m Sean, a musculoskeletal specialist physiotherapist with experience in both NHS and private practice settings.

My background allows me to take a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to treating a wide range of injuries and conditions.

Alongside my clinical work, I have a strong passion for CrossFit and strength training, and I own a bodybuilding gym, which has given me a deep understanding of biomechanics and the demands of high-intensity and resistance-based exercise.

I focus on bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance, helping you not only recover from injury but come back stronger, more resilient, and confident in your body.

What conditions do you treat at Strength In Motion?
  • We specialise in musculoskeletal problems of all kinds. This includes everyday issues like lower back pain, neck pain and sciatica; sports-related injuries such as ankle sprains, knee ligament tears, shoulder tendinopathy and muscle strains; joint problems including osteoarthritis and post-operative recovery after procedures like ACL reconstruction, hip or knee replacements, and rotator cuff repairs. We also help people with longer-term conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic widespread pain, and persistent post-injury pain that hasn’t responded elsewhere.

How does a functional movement assessment help me?
  • During the assessment we watch how you move in real-life patterns—squatting, stepping, reaching, and balancing. This reveals hidden weaknesses, tightness, poor coordination or old compensatory habits that often cause pain or hold you back. Once we understand exactly what’s going on, we build a precise, step-by-step programme that corrects the root cause, restores natural movement, reduces your current symptoms and makes you far less likely to get injured again.

Who can benefit from an athlete movement screen?
  • Anyone who moves! Recreational runners, weekend footballers, gym enthusiasts, CrossFit athletes, golfers, cyclists, and competitive teenagers all benefit. Even if you’re returning to exercise after a break or simply want to train without constant niggles, the screen highlights your personal risk factors and strengths so we can tailor training and technique advice that keeps you performing at your best and staying on the pitch or trail longer.

What should I expect during my first physiotherapy session?
  • The initial appointment lasts 60 minutes. We start by listening carefully to your story—what hurts, when it started, what makes it better or worse, and what you want to get back to doing. Then we carry out a thorough physical examination: testing joint ranges, muscle strength, nerve function and the specific movements that provoke your symptoms. By the end you’ll have a clear explanation of what’s causing the problem, a hands-on treatment to ease things straight away if appropriate, and a written plan of exercises and next steps. You’ll leave knowing exactly what’s wrong and how we’re going to fix it together.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
  • No. As a private physiotherapy clinic you can book directly with us whenever you like—no GP letter or consultant referral required. Many clients self-refer the same week they decide they’ve had enough of their pain.

What makes Strength In Motion different from other clinics?
  • We don’t just treat the painful spot in isolation. Every client receives detailed movement analysis alongside traditional hands-on physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation. We look at the whole kinetic chain, use video slow-motion where helpful, and blend manual therapy, strength work and movement re-education so you don’t just feel better on the day—you actually move better for life. Clients tell us they finally get answers and lasting results after trying several places before.
