How long is a physiotherapy session in Huddersfield?
  • Your initial physiotherapy assessment lasts 45–60 minutes so we have time to fully understand your problem. Follow-up treatment sessions are 30–45 minutes of focused, one-to-one care – longer than many clinics to ensure real progress every visit.

Do I need a GP referral to book physiotherapy?
  • No – you can book directly with us today. We’re fully registered with the HCPC and CSP, and most private health insurers (Bupa, AXA, Vitality, etc.) accept direct access claims without a referral.

What should I wear to my physiotherapy appointment?
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing (e.g. shorts and T-shirt or vest). For lower-back, hip or leg issues shorts are ideal; for neck/shoulder problems a vest or sports bra helps us assess and treat effectively.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?
  • It depends on your condition and goals. Acute injuries often improve significantly in 4–6 sessions; chronic or post-surgical cases may need 8–12. We’ll give you an honest, evidence-based prognosis at your first visit and regularly review progress.

Can physiotherapy help with long-term or chronic pain?
  • Absolutely. We combine hands-on therapy, graded exercise, movement re-education and pain-science education to break the chronic pain cycle. Many clients who’ve “tried everything” finally get lasting relief with our approach.
